IN THE MATTER OF THE DISABILITY OF SUSANA REYES, ESQ.

No. 40816.Supreme Court of Nevada.
February 19, 2003.

ORDER OF TRANSFER TO DISABILITY INACTIVE STATUS
Bar Counsel for the State Bar of Nevada and attorney Susana Reyes have jointly petitioned this court for an order transferring Reyes to disability inactive status. The parties have stipulated that Reyes is presently incapacitated under SCR 117 from continuing to practice law, and is unable to assist in defending disciplinary proceedings pending against her.

Having reviewed the petition and its attachments, we conclude that the relief requested in the joint petition is warranted under the circumstances. Accordingly, Susana Reyes is hereby transferred to disability inactive status. Reyes may resume the active practice of law only after she has satisfied SCR 117(6) and (7). In light of this order, the pending disciplinary proceedings against Reyes are suspended. Should Reyes be reinstated to active status by an order of this court issued in accordance with SCR 117(6), the disciplinary proceedings shall resume from the point at which they were suspended.

The State Bar shall effect such notice of this order as is required under the provisions of SCR 117(4) and (5). Bar counsel shall provide this court with proof of service of such notice.

It is so ORDERED.[1]

[1] This order constitutes our final disposition of this petition. Any further bar proceedings respecting attorney Reyes shall he docketed as a new and separate matter.
