ORDER ADOPTING SECTION X OF THE SUPREME COURT RULES
WHEREAS, on November 24, 2009, Ron Titus, State Court Administrator, filed a petition with the court seeking the adoption of Section X of the Supreme Court Rules to allow for the collection of charges and fees on behalf of the Supreme Court; and
WHEREAS, it appears to this court that adoption of the section is warranted;
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Section X of the Supreme Court Rules shall be adopted as set forth in Exhibit A.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the new section shall be effective thirty days from the date of this order. The clerk of this court shall cause a notice of entry of this order to be published in the official publication of the State Bar of Nevada. Publication of this order shall be accomplished by the clerk disseminating copies of this order to all subscribers of the advance sheets of the Nevada Reports and all persons and agencies listed in NRS 2.345, and to the executive director of the State Bar of Nevada. The certificate of the clerk of this court as to the accomplishment of the above-described publication of notice of entry and dissemination of this order shall be conclusive evidence of the adoption and publication of the foregoing rule amendment.

EXHIBIT A AMENDMENTS TO SUPREME COURT RULES PART X. RULES GOVERNING THE COLLECTION OF FEES AND CHARGES Rule 1. Supreme Court Budget. The Supreme Court has authority to direct the collection of revenue for the proper administration of its own budgets.
Rule 2. Administrative Office of the Courts.
(a) Duties and responsibilities. The Administrative Office of the Courts collects revenue, including certain charges and fees in accordance with its duties to the Court and as provided in state statute.
(b) Authority. The Administrative Office of the Courts, on behalf of the Court, has authority to collect revenue from the following charges and fees:
(1) Registration fees and vendor fees associated with providing continuing judicial education programs.
(2) User charges associated with development and implementation of the Uniform System of Judicial Records (USJR).
(3) Other charges and fees authorized by the Court for the proper administration of the Court in order to carry out its duties and responsibilities.
